Every job at Sightline starts with a measured survey and ends with a photo record. That’s not marketing language – it’s how we’ve run every one of the 18,000+ windows and doors we’ve installed since 2012. If you’re the kind of person who wants to do the job right and have the documentation to prove it, you’ll feel at home here. We don’t ask you to sell past the scope or invent urgency. We ask you to measure accurately, show up when we said you would, and leave the opening better than you found it. That’s the work. It’s steady, it’s specific, and it means something.
Who We’re Looking For
- Window Installer – Someone who reads a rough opening the way a reader reads a sentence: for what’s actually there, not what they expected.
- Door Installer (Entry and Sliding/Patio) – Precise with a level, patient with a threshold, and understands that a door that doesn’t seal right fails the whole job.
- Impact Window and Door Specialist – Has worked with PGT, CGI, or similar impact-rated product lines, or is serious about learning the glazing side of high-wind and coastal builds.
- Apprentice Installer – Good with their hands, ready to carry, learn, and ask the right questions – experience in any trade welcome.
- Dispatcher / Field Coordinator – Keeps crews scheduled, customers informed, and the day from falling apart when the third job changes at noon.
- Customer Service and Estimating Support – Speaks plainly, listens well, and can explain a written quote line by line without making the homeowner feel like they’re in a sales pitch.
What We Offer

Real Training and a Clear Path Forward
We don’t hand a new hire a caulking gun and hope for the best. Apprentices work alongside lead installers on live jobs, learning the Haven documentation system, product-specific glazing techniques, and how to read an opening before touching a frame. The path from apprentice to lead installer is defined by demonstrated skill, not time served – and we have the job history to back that up.
Work You Can Actually Stand Behind
Every job starts with a written price the customer keeps. Every completed job leaves a photo record. No one on this crew is asked to upsell past the scope or absorb a customer’s complaint about a price that changed between the estimate and the invoice – because the price doesn’t change. The 365-Day Done Right Promise, written into the Haven Standard, means if something isn’t right, we fix it. That makes the work easier to be proud of.
Local Crew, National Backing
You’ll work with a local crew that knows its territory – the building codes, the common opening types, the neighborhoods where coastal glazing requirements apply and the ones where they don’t. Behind that crew is the buying power, product access, and documentation infrastructure of a national brand that’s been running to the same standard since 2012. You get both.
Steady, Year-Round Demand
Windows and doors don’t follow a single season. Impact product demand runs year-round in coastal markets. Energy-efficient replacement work picks up when utility bills do. Custom and geometric installs come in whenever a remodel does. Across our four-state footprint, that translates to consistent work – not the feast-or-famine cycle that comes with purely seasonal trades.
Before
AfterNo Experience? Read This.
If you’ve framed a wall, hung a cabinet, set tile, or done any work that required you to measure twice and think before you cut, you already know more than you think. The specific skills – reading a rough opening, understanding glazing tolerances, setting a door plumb in an out-of-square frame – we teach on the job, alongside people who have been doing this since before Sightline existed.
The first few months look like this: you’re on a crew, you’re watching, you’re asking questions, and you’re handling the parts of the job that don’t require a license yet. You’re also learning the Haven documentation system – the photo protocol, the written survey process, the way we record what we found and what we did. By the time you’re working independently, you won’t just know how to install a window. You’ll know how to prove it was done right.
What we’re looking for in a career-changer isn’t a resume full of glazing credits. It’s someone who takes the measurement seriously.
